I am not so eagerly anticipating my return to full time employment next Monday but the last few days have given me hope that it won’t be too horrid. The Pecan has been sleeping through the night on a fairly consistent basis and actually did a 13 1/2 hour stretch on Sunday night. SWEET! So, my plan is to get up when DH does and get my personal stuff done and then do some school work with the Peanut. Then when the boys wake up the Peanut or I can make breakfast. She has now mastered pancakes, corn bread, french toast, and Pannekoekken, and she can also make things like toast or serve cereal and fruit and yogurt. Then while the Almond and Walnut play and the Pecan hangs out in his chair we can continue school. At 9 ish the Pecan goes down for a nap and the other nuts head to Grandma’s for the day and I begin my corporate job. When the Pecan wakes up I can feed him and bring him to Grandma’s for the rest of the day. It is pretty handy that my mom is so close and she can also do some school work with the Peanut if I need her to. Then I finish up work around 4 ish and pick up the nuts and come home to make dinner. All the nuts like to help out in the kitchen so it is often a chaotic yet fun family time. Then we all get wildly excited when DH gets home, especially the Almond who stands at the top of the stairs and shouts “Daddy’s home!” It is pretty darn cute. So, as unexciting as that sounds, that is my plan. I hope all the nuts cooperate.
